Some of the top winter activities in the Greater Wolfeboro area include:

  • outdoor hockey – come witness the annual New England Pond Hockey Classic held in nearby Meredith, New Hampshire, which features approximately 200 teams from all across the country in rinks along the shore of Lake Winnipesaukee; the teams compete for the WinnipeHockey Cup
  • ice skating – if there’s hockey, then you know that ice skating can’t be too far behind; weather conditions dictate the time of year and location, but bring your skates and be ready to enjoy real outdoor skating out on our area lakes and ponds
  • ice fishing – experienced and novice ice fishermen alike come every year for the Meredith Rotary Club’s annual Ice Fishing Derby; a range of small to large prizes are given, along with a grand prize of approximately $15,000; custom fishing rods and reels, along with ice fishing tackle in New Hampshire can be rented from Wolfeboro bait stores
